Binge drinking is defined as consuming four or more drinks for women and five or more drinks for men within a short period. According to the CDC, in 2019, around 19% of adults in Florida engaged in binge drinking, slightly lower than the national average of 21%.
According to the 2019 Youth Risk Behavior Survey conducted by the CDC, approximately 18% of high school students in Florida reported consuming alcohol before the age of 13, and around 28% reported current alcohol use.
